Frequently Asked Questions
What days/times do we offer Behind-the-Wheel?
Monday through Friday students are picked at the last bell (3:00pm to 3:30pm) from their high school and returned home, or picked up from home around 5:00pm and returned home. Lesson are also given on Saturdays.
How long are lessons?
Your child will be paired with another student for seven sessions. A session is considered two consecutive fifty-minute periods. One period consists of actual driving, the other observing.
When is my student qualified to take Behind-the-Wheel?
A student may take BTW after completing the classroom driver education course and has approximately 20 hours of driving experience.
Will my student receive a license upon completion of the BTW course?
Upon passing a road test at the end of the course the student will receive a temporary drivers license certificate. The certificate allows the student to drive by themselves without a licensed driver while waiting for the permanent license to be issued. Those students who have not yet held a learners permit for 9 months will not be able to use the temporary license until the effective date on the issued certificate (9 months from the date of issuance).
